Who We Are

HONEY BEE CARE (HBC) is an organization promoted by the top most personalities in the field of Apiculture (Beekeeping), Rural Development, Agriculture and allied fields. HBC is created with an objective to provide scientific, infrastructure, knowledge, HRD and other initiatives to the beekeeping fraternity and ruralites to bring these enterprises as the best in the world standards.

Dr. Yashveer Singh, President: Former Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Government of India is a great visionary, eminent scientist and thinker in the field of rural development, beekeeping. Prof. Shankar Dass Chaudhary, General Secretary: An eminent scientist in the field of Entomology was responsible for the establishment of beekeeping in North India. His pioneer work on the “agriculture extension services” by providing farmers the latest research findings at their door-steps through “Lab to Land” program in Haryana was adjusted “the best” by the government and his model was replicated throughout India. He created the first “Center of Excellence” of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in the discipline of Entomology at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar and acted as its founder Director. This center provided advanced trainings on Apiculture in India. His other fields of interest are biological control of insect pests. He is presently heading the trust engaged rural development education that provides free education to the talented but poor children of Punjab and Haryana.

Rajender Kumar Sharma: A post graduate in Mathematics, is a successful beekeeping entrepreneur and highly trained professional beekeepers. He has received specialized and extensive training on “mass queen rearing”, royal jelly production, pollen, propolis collection and processing. He further specializes in the honey bee management, beekeeping equipment development and manufacture. He successfully ran the beekeeping unit of Kashmir Apiaries in Doraha (Ludhiana) as its head managing about 50,000 bee hives.

ADVISORY BOARD: Honey Bee Care is supported by a battery of international and national experts on Beekeeping and rural development. Luminaries in the field of Bee flora; Bee management; Disease and pest management; Beekeeping equipments; Queen bee rearing; Instrumental Insemination; Pollination; Honey chemistry, processing and quality control; Value added products; Wild bees; Honey trade and marketing, Rural development; etc. on our Advisory Board are our guiding sources on all technical matters. They are responsible for policy frame work and monitoring and course correction of HBC activities.

Other members are also experts in the field of beekeeping and rural development.

Location: Its head quarter in Village – Sundrewal, Punjab and Regional Office at Karnal, Haryana which is the "honey bowl of India" being the epicenter of beekeeping activity, HBC has pan Indian operations.
